Chapter 10

FOXHOUND Penguin Base, Tibet, Briefing Room

The team goes through their debriefing after they returned back to the base as the FOXHOUND Army colonel began the debriefing…

Colonel: Good job, out there. I believe that'll hurt the Ultranationalists. We sent the intel back to Command to see who were the dealers and we'll know when we get something.

Jill: Is that all?

Colonel: Apparently, you guys are reassigned back to the States for an upcoming assignment.

Ghost: What is this "upcoming assignment"?

Colonel: They didn't really give me the details. They just said that I should send my best people to the States apparently you guys fit the criteria. Do you accept?

Ghost: (raises his right hand)

MacTavish: Yeah.

Jill: Sure.

Carlos: Be great to get out of the cold.

Stone: I accept.
Charlie Team: (Just nodded yes.)

Colonel: Then it's settled you guys have a C-17 flight out of here that leaves in six hours. Dismissed!!

Everyone got up from their chairs and left the room.

FOXHOUND Penguin Base, Special Forces Branch Office

Gary "Roach" Sanderson stuck behind a desk yawned after doing a lot of work, he hope he have a break right away so he go into the break room to play some video games or go surf the web but it hadn't came yet. He continues to type in the computer until he sees Capt. MacTavish and Ghost come in. He stops typing to greet them.

Roach: (To MacTavish) Welcome back, sir. (To Ghost) Ghost. How was the operation?

Ghost: Always the same, boring, but fun in some ways.

MacTavish: Apparently, we have another assignment coming up, so Ghost and I are leaving in six hours back to the States. Say, Roach, how long have you been behind that desk?

Roach: Um…about two weeks, sir.

MacTavish: Tell you what. The more you work behind a desk, the less combat effective you are. I'm going to do you a favor. You're coming with us on this new assignment.

Roach: But sir…

MacTavish: Don't worry, I'll have a word with the colonel to see if he could get you cleared on this assignment. I need you to be in the field once in a while, anyway. That good?

Roach: Yes, sir.

MacTavish: Good man, just the type of response I wanted. Finish your work and get packing. We leave here in six hours in C-17, so, if I was you I finish ASAP. Got it?

Roach: Yes, sir.

MacTavish: Good.

Next Morning, Airfield

The squad was fully awake and waited for the C-17 to arrive, Soap sees the team was trying to keep themselves from getting bored, he also sees Jill was looking at her hair for some reason then she walks up to him.

Jill: Hey, MacTavish, do you see anything blonde in my hair?

MacTavish: Um…no.

Jill: Okay, good.

MacTavish: What's wrong with your blonde one?

Jill: I hate it. It's not my usual appearance and plus it brings too much bad memories.

MacTavish: What about your pale skin?

Jill: Nothing I can do about that all I could is just change my hair.

Ghost: Sir, C-17's here.

MacTavish: All right, people let's move.

Everyone got their stuff and head off to the recently landed C-17 where the ramp opens and a bunch of troops walk down it and the squad walks up the ramp and sat down in the seats along with a bunch of other troops who came in and sat down.

Eagle Base, Washington D.C., U.S.A

Snake takes out another cigarette, and lights it and smokes it as the UH-60 they're reaches Eagle Base, FOXHOUND's main base of operations. The Black Hawk lands on the helipad. Snake was the first one out followed by the others. A FOXHOUND Soldier in ACUs runs up to them.

Soldier: You guys from Tanzania?

Chris: Yeah!!

Soldier: General Sharpe needs to see you for debrief, he's in the command room.

Snake: Great, can't wait for what's going happen next…

They walked towards the command room as they reached the entrance they're met by Leon.

Snake: Leon, how you've been doing?

Leon: Great, Snake. Heard you guys survived Tanzania.

Chris: It was hell. You won't believe what we saw there…

Leon: Like to hear it.

Chris: Tell you later. Anyway, what you're here for.

Leon: To see you guys get debriefed and an assignment.

Mystery: You're kidding…

Leon: Wish I was but something came up, Sharpe will brief you…

Sheva: Haven't we been through enough already?

As they went in they already saw some other people are sitting down in chairs and some pretty familiar faces…

Chris: Jill, Carlos, Josh, nice to see you guys again.

Jill: It's good to see you again, Chris.

Carlos: Yeah, same here.

Josh: Finally, out of that cold.

Chris: I guess being in Tibet did a lot.

Jill: Carlos and Josh didn't seem to like it but I didn't mind.

Chris: (Laughs)

Sharpe: (Walks into the room) Alright, ladies and gentlemen, now that we're getting settled it's time to begin this meeting. To those who were from Tanzania, you're debrief will have to wait as something new came to light. Our U.S. Government Liaison Leon, here, received a call from someone by the name…(Takes a remote and presses a button to the screen showing an image of a woman of Asian decent) Ada Wong. An agent who worked for a company known as the Organization which was completely taken over by a newly reformed Umbrella Corporation, as we all know Umbrella is now.

Sheva: Creating bullshit theories of making up for their past sins…

Sharpe: The Consortium along with the UN Security Council has put numerous restrictions on Umbrella, no paramilitary, no working on new products until being given the Consortium's and UN's say so. The world is making sure that Umbrella doesn't become like it was back then but get this it has business relations with the PMC group, Outer Heaven.

Snake: The Mother Company of the five largest PMCs in the world.

Barry: Doesn't that like give them a boost in resources or are they just babysitting them?

Sharpe: Were not too sure at this moment but we believe that Ms. Wong is our only lead thus far.

Ghost: Question. Is she worth it? I mean, she has a reputation of treason written all over her.

Leon: I know what you're thinking Ghost but if she is in danger then she's a possible lead.

Ghost: And if not, then we're walking right into a trap.

Leon: That's a risk we'll have to take.

Ghost: What information she has that could be of use to us? I say she's not worth it.

Leon: Watch it, Ghost!!

Sharpe: Leon…I believe you need to be a bit specific with them and Ghost does bring up a good point. Is saving her really worth it?

Leon: She wasn't specific with me, only things she said to me was that she was on the run and can't get into details. Meet location is in Paris, France.

Snake: That's it?

Leon: She'll said, "She'll find us."

Ghost: More like send assassins to finish us off.

Leon: You really don't seem to like her, Ghost.

Ghost: I don't. I hate her gut that's why.

Jill: Yeah, Leon. Think about it. How do we know at the last minute she isn't going to turn on us?

MacTavish: I agree with Jill on this. We go there and get Wong and if she does betray us it will be a waste of time and our resources.

Leon: Okay, that's enough! You guys are either in or out, your choice.

In that moment, a few guys just stood up and left the room but the rest stayed.

Leon: Okay.

Sharpe: Now that's settled, you guys will leave on a plane to Paris, we got your airline tickets, so your plane leaves at 1045, at the airport someone from the FOXHOUND Paris Branch will meet you. Meeting adjourned.
